Police discovered a stash of machetes at an address in Bolton this morning.
The knives were found after a 19-year-old man was arrested in relation to several vehicle thefts across Greater Manchester.
Two machetes were found after officers searched the address and they will be destroyed.
In a statement Greater Manchester Police said: "This morning officers from Bolton West neighbourhood team arrested a 19-year-old man for theft of a motor vehicle and disqualified driving.
"This is in relation to a spate of recent vehicle thefts across the Greater Manchester area.
"Whilst conducting a search of the address, these two machetes pictured above were recovered.
"These items were volunteered for destruction.
"The male remains in custody for questioning and further enquiries."
