THERE’S good news for movie lovers as Bolton’s Vue Cinema has announced that it will re-open next Friday.

Adam Wren, general manager at Vue Bolton, said: “We’re really pleased to be preparing to reopen our cinema once again and we look forward to welcoming film fans back soon.

“We’ve been working hard to ensure our site here in Bolton meets safety protocols in line with the latest government guidance.”

Vue has concentrated on five key areas to help reduce the risk to cinemagoers with online booking being encouraged.

Thorough cleaning protocols will be introduced with each screen being disinfected between screenings, hand sanitiser stations being installed around the building and staff being equipped with PPE.

To comply with government guidelines physical distancing has been introduced into the booking system and contactless payments are being encouraged.

Staggered film times will be introduced to reduce the number of people at any one time in foyers and corridors.

All staff are undergoing a two-day training programme ahead of reopening.

Cinemagoers will have to wear face coverings while in the cinema, although these can be removed when eating and drinking, and they will have to give details as part of track and trace initiative to help stop the spread of Covid-19

Adam added: “We want film-lovers in Bolton to know that the quality of our viewing experience remains unchanged and customers will continue to enjoy the best audio and picture quality in big screen entertainment.

“We hope film-fans are excited as us at the return of the big screen where films like this are supposed to be seen.”
