PERFORMING arts student Jessica Philpott is reaching for the stars after her top examination grades.
The Bolton St Catherine’s Academy student achieved a distinction in her performing arts and photography subjects and a C in psychology.
She is now off to the famed Liverpool Theatre School.
Jessica said: “After studying it seemed strange that I wouldn’t be taking an exam, and it seemed like it was a waste with three years going in the bin - but I did study and have all the knowledge from that, so it wasn’t wasted at all.
“I was lucky because I was accepted into the Liverpool Theatre School anyway but I was really nervous because I wanted good grades in case I decide later to go to university.
“It was very worrying not knowing what was happening. I read and watched the news but it was so hard to fathom what was happening.
“But I am so pleased with my results. It will sad leaving Bolton St Catherine’s Academy because I have been here since I was 11, but I am looking forward to going to theatre school.”
Jessica said she was excited about going to the theatre school, following in the footsteps her dance teacher at Taylor’s Theatre Academy.
