GLAMOUR model and TV star Rhian Sugden is celebrating after teaming up with a Bolton beauty brand.

Just three months ago the 33-year-old launched self tan Clarity with Bolton-based Rose & Caramel.

And now, the tan has won its first beauty accolade, scooping Best Organic Body Product at this year's Global Beauty Awards 2020.

As well as becoming an award-winning self tan, Clarity was also snapped up by retail giant Pretty Little Thing and is officially stocked on their website, alongside several other online beauty retailers.

Rhian, from Bury, said: "I am just over the moon, that while in the middle of a pandemic we've still been able to launch a product that was 12 months in the making, and achieve what we have achieved in just three months time.

"When I found out we'd won our first beauty award for Clarity I was so shocked. It honestly means so much to me that I'm helping and supporting women in a similar situation to myself and Oliver, while also supporting tanning enthusiasts who only use natural products."

The idea for Clarity stemmed from Rhian's own fertility issues.

While trying to conceive with Corrie-star husband, Oliver Melor, she was advised to avoid all cosmetic products containing hash chemicals or additives, to give her the best chance of falling pregnant.

With her IVF journey still ongoing, she decided to create her own tanning range after realising there was a gap in the market for a refined self tanning mousse free from harsh, synthetic ingredients.

Since launching on PLT, Clarity has also landed on five other online retailers, including Just My Look, Feel Unique, Wellbeing Sisters, Love Lula and Moda Firma.

£1 from every bottle sold is donated to Clarity's official charity partner, Fertility Network UK - the UK's leading IVF and fertility charity supporting both women and men.

Rose & Caramel was founded in 2010 by Rosie Greenhalgh.
