POP impresario Pete Waterman has been confirmed as The Rotary Club of Westhoughton’s next celebrity guest speaker.
Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, the club is holding meetings online using Zoom and have opened them up to the public, free of charge.
As a member of the Stock Aitken Waterman songwriting team, Mr Waterman scored a total of 22 UK number one singles with his various acts including Kylie Minogue, Rick Astley, Bananarama, Steps and Jason Donovan.
He is also a keen railway enthusiast and is the owner of significant collections of historic locomotives and rolling stock.
Phil Wood, of The Rotary Club Westhoughton, said: “Pete will be talking about his life as a music promoter and some of the audience hope he will be talking about his interest in railways as well.
The talk starts at 8pm on Thursday, September 17.
Places are limited and available on a first come first served basis to those with a laptop or tablet.
