THE infection rate in Bury is approaching 100, according to the latest statistics.
There have been 96 cases per 100,000 people in the latest week of data available - September 8-14.
There were a total of 183 new cases in that time period, 50 more than the previous week.
There have been 1,953 confirmed cases to September 17, with 240 people having confirmed died from the virus.
Bury joins Salford and Tameside as the Greater Manchester boroughs with an infection rate in the 90s.
Bolton remains the worst with an infection rate of 189.9 - much more than the second worst, Oldham, on 110.
