MORE schools have been affected by coronavirus cases — with a ‘number' of teachers off at just one primary school.
Pikes Lane Primary School in Deane said they had teachers off school during the pandemic.
And at Harper Green the Year 10 bubble has been closed with other children also self-isolating after two confirmed cases of coronavirus.
It comes as schools are closing bubbles almost on a daily basis.
Bolton Council says it is working with schools.
A spokesperson for Bolton Council said: “A number of schools across the borough have pupils and staff isolating.
“Our teams are in regular contact with all schools to provide support and advice.
“Schools are following all the right procedures – usually a confirmed case leads to the bubble which a child or staff member is part of isolating.
“The council has worked closely with all our schools to carry out thorough risk assessments and ensure sensible precautions are in place such as social distancing, bubble systems, proper hand hygiene and deep cleaning.”
Children who have to self-isolate are being taught remotely at home, with secondary schools still following lessons on their timetable.
Hundreds of schools across Greater Manchester have had to close class bubbles after positive coronavirus tests.
