A COVID-crack squad has been created in Bolton to enforce coronavirus regulations — and residents can help by reporting potential breaches of the restrictions, designed to stop the virus from spreading to keep people safe.
THE RULES:
-If you live in Bolton, it is against the law to meet people you do not live with in your home or garden/their home or garden, inside or outside of the borough, unless they are in your support bubble.
-When meeting friends and family you do not live with (or have formed a support bubble with) it is against the law to meet in a group of more than 6 outdoors or in a public venue such as a park.
-The regulations imposed on Bolton by the government, also restrict the hospitality sector to takeaway services only.
-Businesses can continue deliveries after 10pm — but to deliver after 11pm businesses must have late night refreshment licences.
HOW TO REPORT A BREACH OF THE REGULATIONS?
If you have concerns that a business is not following government regulations, report breaches to Bolton Council by e-mailing environmentalhealthcovidinbox@bolton.gov.uk
