THESE are the faces of 10 criminals who have been sent to prison in September
LUKE ALDRED burgled a man’s flat days after he died and was caught when he left his DNA on a cigarette end at the scene. Drug addict Aldred, aged 24, of Blackledge Street, Bolton, was jailed for 20 months.
SHAUN SERGEANT was swigging vodka from a bottle as the van he was driving was being pursued by police. Sergeant, aged 39, of Jedburgh Avenue, Bolton, smashed into the side of a police car, flinging a police officer three metres into the air and leaving him with a fractured arm. He was jailed for two years and eight months.
SHAHZAD KHAN and his accomplice Mohammed Sheikh pulled a knife on a have-a-go-hero and security guard after robbing the Asda supermarket in Farnworth. Khan, aged 43, of Campbell Court, Farnworth, and Sheikh, and 54, of Cawdor Street, Farnworth, were each jailed for four years after being convicted by a jury.
EMMA TIDY is a prolific thief who was jailed for 48 weeks after committing a string of offences including shoplifting, thefts and fraud. Tidy, aged 30, of Nottingham Drive, Halliwell, was caught on September 1.
TRAVIS DOOTSON attacked and robbed a man as he was sitting in his car chatting on the phone to his girlfriend. Dootson, aged 22, of Bradford Street, Bolton, and an accomplice, attempted to drag their victim out of his vehicle. He was jailed for three years.
JASON WADSWORTH went on the run for 20 days after he escaped from police while still wearing handcuffs they had put on him while escorting him from Tesco in Farnworth where he had been caught shoplifting. Wadsworth, aged 25, of Whitehead Close, Bury, was sentenced to six months in prison.
ZEKERIYE MOHAMMED and AHMED HAIDER were racing each other through Bolton streets at up to 83mph when their cars collided, killing Mohammed’s 24-year-old brother Idiris, who was a rear seat passenger in his BMW.
Mohammed, aged 24, of Deane Road, Bolton, was jailed for 27 months and Haider, aged 23, of Fenton Road, Birmingham, was sentenced to 63 months in prison.
JOHN SOKOLOWSKI was staying at The Last Drop Hotel, Bolton, after his release from prison when he stole a coat and car keys from a staff member. Sokolowski, aged 32, of no fixed address, was sent back to jail for three months.
RICHARD GRAHAM exposed himself to young girls three times on one day. Graham. aged 30, of Bolton Road North, Ramsbottom, was sentenced to 15 months in prison.
