MAGISTRATES have sentenced a man to 14 days in prison after he failed to keep probation appointments.
Steven Taylor, aged 49, of no fixed address, was due to appear before Wigan magistrates but refused to come out of his cell and so was sentenced in his absence.
The court heard that Steven had previously been released from prison but was still subject to supervision and failed to attend Bolton probation office on September 25.
"The defendant has a flagrant disregard for court orders," stated magistrates.
