A DRIVER had drunk more than double the legal alcohol limit when he was caught behind the wheel of a car on the M61.
At Wigan Magistrates' Court Faruk Mallu, aged 46, of Hawthorne Road, Bolton, pleaded guilty to drink driving.
The court heard that Mallu, who was driving a Toyota Corolla on September 7, had 78mcg of alcohol in 100ml of his breath when tested.
He was banned from driving for 18 months, fined £120 and ordered to pay £119 in costs and charges.
