HALLOWEEN is just around the corner, which means it’s time to delve into Bolton’s haunted history.

We already know that Bolton is notorious for its haunted pubs, with Ye Olde Man and Scythe and The King’s Head topping the list as some of the most haunted pubs in the region.

However, pubs aren’t the only places said to be haunted in the town.

We have created an interactive map documenting every spooky sighting and ghostly apparition that is said to have taken place in Bolton.

On the map you will find information about the Belmont ghost sighting that was captured on camera back in 2015.

In the video, a mysterious creature can be seen shuffling towards a car while two men can be heard screaming as the figure gets close.

What do you think- is this a ghostly apparition or just a chilling prank?

Also on the map is Smithills Hall where a lot of ghostly happenings and apparitions have been reported.

It’s said that the ghost of George Marsh roams the halls after being burnt at the stake for his religion back in the 1500s.

Bradshawgate is also said to be haunted by the ghost of Minnie Stott- a woman who was murdered in the 1940s.

Her murdered strangled her in this area- and the criminal was never caught.
