A BOLTON-based business is bringing smiles to the faces of children from all walks of life.

Electric Ride on Cars based in Bury New Road supplies a range of flash cars for children from the age of two.

Siddik Patel owns the company and said that despite the pandemic, parents are still splashing out for cars that can reach the £500 mark.

Mr Patel, who set up the business in 2007 said that there has been an online sales boost during lockdown.

He said: “Although we are in an economic crisis and a pandemic, the sales have been booming.

“I think the purchases are more for the parents to be honest as they admit it’s the closest they will ever get to owning a Ferrari or a Mercedes.”

Air conditioning, leather seats and an in-car TV are some of the specifications that come with the ride-ons.

Range Rover, Bentley, Jaguar and Lamborghini are just some of the brands sold.

Mr Patel said that the company has authorisation from the car manufacturers to sell the ‘toy cars’.

He added: “All sales are approved by the car manufacturer as they are the real deal but are actually a toy car.”

The business was initially set up in 2007 in a small unit in Bolton. Now it’s based in 5,000 square foot premises.

Mr Patel added: “We have invested in the company and there are four of us that work here all together.

“We offer free delivery and pride ourselves in amazing customer service.”

Despite the cars costing a small fortune and putting some adult car owners to shame, Mr Patel said that regardless of what people think, a flash car can bring a smile to any child’s face.

He said: “The main picture in this article just goes to show how happy the small cars can make people. They are a little extravagant to some people but when you see a sick child, a healthy child, an adult who can only dream of owning a Bentley it makes us happy to bring these smiles to their faces.”
