A SKODA driver has been banned from the roads for 18 months after he was twice caught drug driving. Police who stopped the vehicle on Bury Road, Bolton, on April 27, found that Benjamin Bebro, aged 32, of Russell Court, Little Hulton, was driving after taking cocaine. Bebro had also been caught driving the car in Kersal Avenue, Little Hulton, after using cocaine on February 8. He pleaded guilty to the drug driving offences and was fined £180.

A MAN who ignored a court order and went to an address in Westhoughton has been ordered to do 100 hours of unpaid work. Ross Cruickshanks, aged 49, of Bank Side, Westhoughton, pleaded guilty to breaching the non-molestation order on October 3. He was ordered to participate in 15 days of rehabilitation activities.

A WOMAN caught drink driving had consumed more than twice the legal level of alcohol. Laura Owens, aged 35, of Chantry Close, Westhoughton, pleaded guilty to committing the offence whilst driving a Vauxhall Mokka on Leigh Road, Bolton, on September 23 last year. She was banned from holding a licence and fined £120.

MAGISTRATES have sentenced a man to 22 weeks in prison, suspended for two years after he assaulted a woman and harassed her by repeatedly phoning her and going to her work place. Christopher Bowden, aged 39, of Lever Street, Radcliffe, initially denied committing the offences but changed his plea to guilty. He was ordered to participate in a relationships programme and a restraining order was made banning him from contacting his victim.

MAGISTRATES have jailed a man for 10 weeks after he ignored a court order banning him from contacting a woman in Bolton. Paul Vail, aged 46, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to two counts of breaching the order on October 2. The court heard that he has a “flagrant disregard for court orders”.

A MOTORIST has been banned from holding a licence for 12 months after he was caught drug driving. Police stopped Mubashar Ahmed’s Skoda Octavia on Gaskell Street, Bolton, on November 3 last year and he tested positive for having used cannabis. Ahmed, aged 32, of Gower Street, Bolton, initially denied drug driving but changed his plea to guilty. As well as the driving ban, he was fined £120.

A TEENAGER who took his dad’s car without permission tried to hide from police behind a petrol station. Hamada Haji, aged 18, of Brocksby Chase, Bolton, only had a provisional driving licence when, on July 31, he used the Seat Leon to give his pals a lift. But officers had spotted the driver attempting to hide the vehicle at the Shell petrol station on Wigan Road. Haji pleaded guilty to taking a vehicle without consent, obstructing police, not having a full licence and no insurance. He was banned from holding a licence for 12 months and ordered to do 80 hours of unpaid work.

A MAN began taking Ecstasy to boost his self confidence after he lost his leg in an accident. Police raided Jason Cahill's Little Lever home at 6am on December 6, 2018. Cahill, aged 51, was initially arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs but there was no evidence of dealing when his phone was examined. But officers found 11 tablets of MDMA, known as Ecstasy. Cahill, of Third Avenue, Little Lever, pleaded guilty to possessing the drug. Magistrates fined Cahill £120.
