Leverhulme park's popular firework display has been cancelled this year due to the coronavirus.
The annual display and funfair takes place around every Halloween and bonfire night, but has unfortunately been cancelled this year due to the ongoing pandemic.
Executive cabinet member for environmental services delivery, Cllr Adele Warren, said: “We know there will be disappointment but due to the ongoing challenge of coronavirus, it would be extremely irresponsible to hold this event.
“The fireworks attract thousands of people and social distancing would be very difficult.
“We are sorry that we are having to cancel one of our most popular events but the health and wellbeing of our residents has to come first.”
