A MAN was arrested and another taken to hospital after a car crash in the early hours.
Police and firefighters attended a crash outside the Asda store in Blackburn Road, Bolton, at 12.20am this morning.
The collision involved a Volvo V90. Firefighters from the Bolton North station attended to make the scene safe.
A spokesman for the fire station said the car had crashed into a set of traffic lights outside the supermarket.
Police have confirmed that the driver of the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of driving a stolen vehicle and that another man, named as the passenger, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
A police spokesman said: “Police attended one vehicle collision Blackburn Road, Bolton around 12.20am this morning, October 20.
“One man arrested on suspicion of driving a stolen vehicle. One man, the passenger, taken to hospital with minor injuries.”
