A MAN has been charged with murder after a fatal assault in Salford.
Shortly after 9pm on Saturday, September 26, police were called to reports of an assault at a property on Leicester Road.
It is believed two men were involved in an altercation which resulted in one of the men being seriously injured.
Emergency services attended and 49-year-old Lee Warren Oates was taken to hospital with serious head injuries.
He sadly died in hospital on Friday, October 2.
Jack Kent, 21, of Leicester Road, Salford, has been charged with murder.
He will appear at Manchester Crown Court on Monday.
