Bob Carolgees and Spit the Dog were the guests of honour at the Westhoughton Summer Show and Carnival in 1988.
The comedian and his punk puppy sidekick had first come to fame on the cult children’s TV show Tiswas and proved to be a popular attraction on the Sunday, leading the carnival procession
