MEMORIES of Pamela Morris have been shared by her loving husband, Don Morris.

Pamela passed away on October 20, aged 71.

She was the former head cook at Egerton Primary School and a bakery technician at Bolton Technical College.

Her loving husband and her two sons, Justin and Richard, said that she will be well-remembered in Bolton, the town where she lived until 1983.

Don said: “We lived in Bolton for many years and we were happy living there.

“Pam worked as a cook and a baker and she was fantastic at what she did and will be well-remembered by the staff, pupils and parents at the settings where she worked.”

The couple settled in Bolton and lived in Wigan Road for 30 years before moving to Kendal.

Although Don said that there is no family in the area, Breightmet-born Pamela will be known for her passion for Bolton Wanderers.

He said: “We left Bolton and didn’t really have much to come back to apart from Pam’s love of Bolton Wanderers.

“She loved her roots. Although we moved to Kendal, she knew where she was from and was proud.”

The couple have two grandsons, Isaac and Thomas, who will miss their grandma.

Don added: “We will all miss her terribly but we are glad there is no more suffering.

“She beat cancer four times and died from her fifth.

“ I would like to thank  Windermere District Nurses for their persistent attention, St

Gregory’s Hospice for keeping Pam clean and comfortable, St John’s Hospice at Home for easing the final days of Pam’s life and also to many friends in Ings for their help and sympathy.”

Don lives in the Lake District with his family.
He added: “We will miss her, but remember the wonderful times.

“Pam and I were married for 48 years.

“Pam said it was her only regret in life that we wouldn’t make it to 50.”
