CAPTAIN Sir Tom Moore's fundraising efforts are contributing to promote the wellbeing of staff at the Bolton NHS Foundation Trust.
The trust received £130,500 from NHS Charities Together, which was partly funded with money raised by Captain Tom.
This emergency covid-19 funding is intended to help NHS organisations enhance the wellbeing of staff, volunteers and patients impacted by coronavirus.
The money will be put towards boosting staff wellbeing, including enhancing wellness programme and improving wellbeing facilities.
Funding will also be used to make cycling to work easier for staff by increasing cycle stores and improving shower facilities.
Sarah Skinner, Charity Manager at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust said:"We are incredibly grateful to NHS Charities Together, Captain Sir Tom Moore and the many people who have donated to the covid-19 appeal over the past six months.
"Our hospital and community based staff continue to work tirelessly through this pandemic and the support from the general public has been a huge morale boost.
"Thanks to this we have been able to fund a number of really worthwhile schemes that will help our dedicated staff look after our patients and themselves over the coming weeks and months.”
