Pupils at Longsight County Primary School, Bolton, opened their own travel agency back in 1990.
With their cardboard suitcases and toy money they selected their sunshine breaks, bought tickets and even went through duty free and boarded a cut-out cardboard plane in the school hall.
It was all part of a geography project called ‘Our World’. Parents got in on the act by cooking dishes from around the world for the children to enjoy as an alternative to the normal school dinners.
