A MANHUNT has been launched by police in East Lancashire after a 'flasher' tried to grab a teenager.
Police say a man exposed himself to a 15-year-old girl, a pupil at a local high school, last Friday.
She was said to have been walking home along Walton Lane, near Nelson Cemetery, at around 10.30pm.
A spokesman for Colne and West Craven Police said that while walking along the girl was using her mobile phone.
But she noticed a man stood with his trousers around his ankles, exposing himself.
The man is then said to have made an attempt to grab hold of her before she fled from the scene.
The police have described the man as being a white male, aged in his 20s.
He was a wearing a black beanie hat, had a beard, black jumper a chain around his neck, at the time of the incident.
Police are asking anyone with any information about the matter to contact the non-emergency number, 101.
Witnesses can also contact the Crimestoppers charity, in confidence, on 0800 555 111.
