Bolton’s Vernon Kay has told how he renewed his wedding vows with wife Tess Daly.

The couple tied the knot in 2003 and have two children together. He also revealed he had worked in a factory putting stickers on bananas in Bolton.

I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! star Vernon told his campmates that the couple renewed their vows in France around five years ago.

Giovanna Fletcher chatted with Vernon and Jessica about her wedding day to Tom, she then asked Vernon if he’d ever renewed his wedding vows, Vernon said “We have done, we did it in France, about five years ago.”

He continued “I booked a weekend in our favourite hotel in the South of France and I spoke to her (Tess) stylist at the time and I said I needed four dresses.”

To which Giovanna asked, “So Tess did not know anything?”

Vernon replied, “No, she didn’t know anything. I said I needed four dresses and I gave her a card and it said congratulations on your second wedding day and I said we’re going to renew our vows. She said ‘I’ve got nothing to wear’ and I said ‘you say that…pick one’.

Vernon continued, “We went to reception and her Mum, my parents, the kids and my brother were waiting and she was like ‘oh my god’ – we had such a lovely day.”

Giovanna said “Vernon’s story is absolutely romantic and wonderful and thoughtful. I mean, Tom, if you’re watching…….”

Broadcaster and journalist Victoria Derbyshire asked asked everyone what their worst job ever was. Victoria said "I'm genuinely curious about people's lives and people are sharing and people are being really open and wearing their heart on their sleeves. Its mega bonding, I have to say.

Jordan said, "Finding out other people's jobs before they got famous is like revealing actually."

Vernon said "I worked in a banana factory sticking stickers on bananas in Bolton, a banana ripening factory. I did it until I was 22 before I moved to London. I did it every summer.

Later he added, "Some of my jobs sound awful but I loved every single minute of what I did. I made great friends whilst I was sticking stickers on bananas. I nearly blew up the banana factory by the way but that is a different story altogether.”
