A DIGITAL firm in Bolton has teamed up with Salvation Army to launch a 'Zoom-a-thon' fundraisers - with a little help from their friends.

Staff at DMS in Egerton will be hosting a 12-hour call featuring guest appearances from a host of their business contacts.

Colleagues at the likes of Brother, Exertis, Promethean, Riso, CTouch, OKI and KCS have all agreed to take part in the charity push on December 10.

A DMS spokesman said: "It will be fun-filled and informative day and a good way to raise awareness for people in need this winter as we have been unable to host a ‘real life’ charity do.

"We are hoping to gain as much exposure as possible to reach our goal of £4,000. One hundred per cent of our money raised will go to The Salvation Army."

Each of the partners on the marathon call will be able to showcase ways in which participants can reduce costs at the same time as boosting productivity.

The charity is running their 'Be A Star' campaign over the festive season, as supporters look to build up their food banks, pay for food parcels to be delivered and continue to run parent and toddler groups at their centres, among other activities.
