THE COMMUNITY champion at Morrisons on Chorley Old Road is taking on a festive-themed charity challenge.

Emma Parkinson is undertaking 12 socially distanced acts of kindness, which began on December 1 and will continue until December 12.

So far donations have been made to organisations including Homeless Aid UK, Fortalice and The Church Of Nazerne.

She is planning on leaving gifts for the residents of Halliwell and Johnston Fold to find.

Emma said: "We want to thank our customers for their overwhelming support this year, without them, these donations would not be possible.

"Charities and community groups are more in need of our support now than ever before.

"For anyone who wishes to contribute, we have pre made and priced gift and food packages ranging from £1-£5 in store.

"Customers can select a bag of kindness, pay for it at the till and place it in our donation station ready to be distributed to those in need within our community."
