A TOTAL of eleven vehicles have been stopped for excessive speed in Bolton this evening.
Five were stopped along Blackburn Road, Astley Bridge while a further six were stopped on Chorley Old Road, Horwich as part of police's ongoing Operation Portman safer roads campaign.
Officers were joined for part of the evening by Bolton North West MP Mark Logan, who attended in order to find out more about the operation.
A police spokesperson said: "We’re not done yet and we’ll moving on again shortly after a quick warm up brew.
"Please slow down."
