OFFICERS have arrested two people after a police chase saw hit speeds of 130mph.
A black Vauxhall Vectra led the patrol on a ten minute chase through Bolton and along the M61.
On the motorway, the car allegedly reached speeds of 130mph, whilst the occupants threw metal objects at the police vehicle – damaging the windscreen.
Officers called for backup, with extra patrols arriving to box in the car in Farnworth.
The three passengers were detained whilst officers investigated the vehicle.
According to police, the car was being driven on false plates, and the driver had allegedly been disqualified three times.
He was also arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, and failing to stop for police.
One of the passengers was allegedly wanted after failing to appear at court.
He was also arrested and placed into custody, as officers seized the car.
