POLICE have dismantled a cannabis farm in Tonge Moor after discovering the huge production.

Officers from the Bolton North neighbourhood team spent the afternoon dismantling the farm in Tonge Moor Road.

They said that all cannabis will be destroyed and enquiries are currently ongoing to identify those responsible.

GMP Bolton North posted about the impressive haul on their social media pages.

They said: "Officers from the #BoltonNorth Neighbourhood Team have spent the afternoon dismantling a cannabis farm from a property on Tonge Moor Road, #TongeMoor.

"All cannabis will be destroyed and enquiries are on-going to identify those responsible."

More than 50 cannabis farms have been found in Bolton over the last three years.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) figures reveal there were 16 cannabis farms discovered in the town from September 2019 to August this year.
