Two cars collided on a major road this morning with police warning motorists to take care as the roads become more slippy.

Police were called around 8:20am this morning to a report of a collision between two vehicles in Moss Bank Way.

No injuries have been reported and no arrests were made.

A spokesman for GMP said: "Police were called at around 8.20am to a report of a collision involving two vehicles.

"Both drivers remained and the scene.

"No injuries were reported and no arrests were made."

Police have since warned road users to start taking more care on the roads as they become more slippy due to colder weather.

A post by GMP Bolton North on Facebook said: "Officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team have just attended an RTC on Moss Bank Way.

"As the mornings get colder, the roads are becoming more slippy. Please take care."
