Police officers have been carrying out speed enforcement in Kearsley today — reporting three drivers for traffic offences.
Police from across the borough have been carrying out speed enforcement patrols more regularly in recent months as part of 'Operation Portman'.
This operation was launched to crack down on bad driving after a rise in crashes in Bolton, some which proved fatal.
It involves GMP traffic officers teaming up with local police to patrol particular hotspots in the borough.
This morning police have been in Kearsley on Bolton Road monitoring it for dangerous driving.
Three traffic offence reports were issued to drivers on Bolton Road this morning, according to police.
A post on GMP Bolton South's Facebook, said: "Farnworth and Kearsley Neighbourhood officers have been conducting speed enforcement this morning on Bolton Road, Kearsley.
"In total, 3 traffic offence report for speeding have been issued."
