THESE are the faces of nine criminals who were sentenced to prison or detained in secure hospitals in December
ABDUL SAID, was found with £11,000 worth of heroin and crack cocaine in his underwear after police stopped the car in which he was a passenger. Said, aged 20, of Langdon Close, Bolton, admitted drug dealing.
ELTIONA SKANA committed a crime which shocked the country, killing seven-year-old Emily Jones as she played in Queens Park on Mother's Day. The paranoid schizophrenic, aged 30, of Ernest Street, Bolton was jailed for life with a minimum of eight years behind bars after admitting manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.
IBRAAHIM IBRAAHIM, aged 34 and formerly of Crescent Road, Bolton, was sentenced to four years and nine months in prison for causing serious injury by dangerous driving, but he has not been jailed as he went on the run part way through his trial.
LEANDRO MEIRELES, aged 23, of Saint Clares Terrace, Lostock, was jailed for 30 months for drug dealing. As well as being caught with bags of heroin and cocaine, police found £12,000 of cash stashed in a cooker.
LIAM WADDILOVE, aged 31, of Tavistock Road, Bolton, is a prolific thief who was caught whilst trying to drive away from a house he had burgled in a stolen Mercedes. He would not figure out how to release the handbrake.
MARVIN GORDON, aged 34, of Hengist Street, Bolton was sentenced to 18 months in prison after he stubbed out a cigarette on a woman's face. He admitted causing actual bodily harm and criminal damage.
MATTHEW BROWN aged 30, of Victoria Court, Farnworth, took a man he accused of stealing his car on a 25 mile drive, repeatedly stopping at addresses and inviting people to watch him assault his victim, who suffered a fractured cheekbone and bruising. Brown was jailed for two years and two months after pleading guilty to causing grievous bodily harm.
NICHOLAS HINDLE, aged 28, of Siemans Street, Horwich, was caught carrying a sawn-off shotgun and revolver when police raided a remote cannabis farm. Hindle, who pleaded guilty to four firearm offences, was sentenced to seven years and one month in prison.
ZAK BENNETT-EKO, aged 23, has been detained with a hospital order after he threw his 11-month-old son from a bridge in Radcliffe. The schizophrenic believed the child was turning into the devil. Following a trial he was found guilty of manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.
