A TOTAL of 11 people have died at the Royal Bolton Hospital over the past week after testing positive for coronavirus.
Latest figures released by NHS England today show that one person died on Christmas Eve with the virus, two on December 22, three on December 21, one one December 20 and four on December 19.
The deaths bring the total number of people who have died at the hospital with Covid-19 since the pandemic began to 450.
Throughout England the number of people who have lost their lives with the virus in hospitals now stands at 48,311, including 9,290 in North West hospitals.
The 161 people whose deaths were added to the national figures yesterday were aged between 44 and 100. All except eight, aged between 64 and 94, had known underlying health conditions.
