THE OCTAGON theatre is accepting script submissions from January 1-31.
They will be prioritising writers living in, or with a strong connection to, the North West region.
The Octagon especially welcomes submissions from playwrights from underrepresented groups.
The theatre are particularly interested in North West stories, stories that speak to a South Asian experiences, adaptations of books, television or films (as long as writers have the rights to adapt these works) and family work.
Incomplete plays or first drafts will not be accepted as well as scripts from writers living outside of the UK.
Scripts can be sent as a Word or PDF attachment and must include a cover form to the email literary@octagonbolton.co.uk. Only email submissions will be considered and they must be sent within the submission window.
Individual feedback cannot be offered to every writer due to the volume of submissions. however, the Octagon will be in touch by Summer 2021 if they want to take the play further.
