Two men have been arrested following a burglary in the early hours of this morning, police have said.

A 31-year-old male and a 33-year-old male have both been arrested on suspicion of burglary after being caught at an address in Tonge Moor.

Police were called just after 2am this morning to reports of a burglary in progress at an address in Tonge Moor Road, where both the men were arrested, according to police.

A post by GMP Bolton North said: "Two men have been arrested following a burglary in Tonge Moor.

"Just after 2am this morning (Thursday December 31), police were called to reports of a burglary in progress at an address on Tonge Moor Road.

"A 31-year-old male and a 33-year-old male were both arrested on suspicion of burglary.

"They remain in police custody for questioning."
