A MAN has been arrested in connection with the thefts of a number of motor vehicles including a £70,000 motorhome, police have said.

Chorley Police have confirmed a 31-year-old man from Farnworth has been taken into custody after vehicles were stolen in Adlington.

Officers say they have recovered numerous Ford car keys, including a skeleton key which is used to open a range of locks.

A Chorley Police spokesman said: "This is a great result by both teams and we will continue to target those who commit crime in our communities and act on information from the local community about illegal activity in our area.

"Remember to always keep your vehicles secure and keep your keys away from the front door.

"Consider investing in a steering lock, immobiliser or a tracking device."
