RECYCLING and recovery firm SUEZ recently donated £1,250 to help Bolton residents in need.

The company donated the money to the Bolton charity Urban Outreach’s Christmas hamper campaign, which provided 1,565 hampers to more than 5,000 local adults and children over the festive period.

Suez staff across the UK were asked to nominate charities supporting their local communities as part of the firm’s Giving Something Back at Christmas initiative.

Dave Bagley, CEO at Urban Outreach, said:“It has been a difficult year for many people in Bolton and it’s been our privilege to support so many people with Humanitarian Aid.

“We are very conscious that Christmas adds much more pressure onto families, and we wanted to do what we could to alleviate some of the difficulties faced by them.

“We really appreciate the support from SUEZ that helped make Christmas special for so many families.”
