AN ADORABLE cockapoo from Walkden has made his TV debut on the new BBC One series Pooch Perfect - and Sheridan Smith loves him.

Milo starred in the first episode of the series which sees dog groomers compete against each other, broadcast on January 7.

Having been entered by his owner Adam Lea, Milo was selected for the programme and took part in filming in August at Media City, Salford.

Adam said: "Milo is such a good dog, we own three other dogs and he's the most well-behaved out of them all.

"We applied to go on the show after it was advertised around March, luckily we were chosen and went to the day of filming at Media City.

"As we handed him over he just walked off with the handlers quite happily, he loves people.

"We were invited back for the last bit of filming to get our reaction after he'd been groomed, he looked amazing.

"He's now got his own Instagram account and he's already been sent a jacket to model.

"Sheridan Smith messaged on Instagram after filming to say how good he was.

"When the show was broadcast Milo watched himself on TV, he's turned into quite the celebrity now."
