EMERGING designers and performers from Bolton will take centre stage with well-known faces in the world of fashion and entertainment to put on the style this November.

A date has been set for the town's first ever Bolton Fashion and Lifestyle Festival.

Scheduled to take place last March, the festival like many of the borough's big events had to be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It was hoped the festival could have been held early this year, but that has now been ruled out.

Organiser Lisa Forshaw has set a date for November 26 at Bolton Whites Hotel for the glamorous bash, at which Christine McGuinness will attend in her capacity as ambassador of the festival.

Lisa, said: "We have put a date in and had a load of positive feedback about it,

"If we don't plan then what else have we got to look forward to.

"If we are are allowed to hold these big events before we will look at an earlier date."

She added the event will be a huge celebration of local talent, from student designers to performers and established local fashion businesses.

She said: "We will be showcasing the talented student designers at the University of Bolton.

We also have global fashion designers, such as Zeynep Kartal."

Lisa wanted to bring a fashion and lifestyle show to her hometown after organising similar events in Manchester.

"This event will be an amazing celebration of something positive and number two after everything we have all been through everybody will just be ready to party and enjoy an amazing atmosphere.

"Heather Small will be performing and we have got local talent which are performing. It is really important we showcase the wonderful talent we have in our town."

Lisa said that plans were also being drawn up for a all day festival before big show at Bolton Whites.
