VACCINATION points for people in Bolton South East have been confirmed.

MP Yasmin Qureshi has highlighted the sites for people in Rumworth, Farnworth, Kearsley, Breightmet and Little Lever, who are in a high risk category, such as those over the age of 80 will be contacted for a vaccination appointment at one of two locations.

She said: "For the benefit of everyone in Bolton South East, I thought that it would be useful to outline where, when, and how we will be vaccinated.”

Lever Chambers Centre will see Rumworth, Central Bolton, Farnworth, and Kearsley residents vaccinated. Breightmet Health Centre is being used for Breightmet and Little Lever residents. These sites were reported by the Bolton News on Monday.

The government has also set up seven ‘super centres’ throughout the country to vaccinate people, with the closest to Bolton being Manchester City FC’s Etihad Campus.

Ms Qureshi added: “If we are to find a way out of the coronavirus pandemic, we need to have a fully mobilised vaccination programme and I welcome the moves by the Government to increase vaccination capacity to two million vaccines a week.

“I hope that as time goes on capacity can increase further.

“The government has also announced that it will publicise, on a daily basis, the current levels of vaccinations in the United Kingdom to ensure that areas which have lower vaccine rates are addressed, avoiding a postcode lottery approach.”
