A MAN has been charged in relation to several burglaries in Astley Bridge.

Paul Turner, of Wardle Street, Little Lever, was arrested earlier this morning.

This comes after an investigation which began after police received reports of a burglary at a house on Queensbury Close in Astley Bridge on Wednesday January 6 and reports of an attempted burglary at a house on Hurstwood in Astley Bridge.

Turner, 45, has now been charged with one count of burglary dwelling and one count of attempted burglary dwelling.

He remains in custody will appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
