A PROPERTY developer has bought a 14-acre site in Lostock with plans to build 214 new homes.

Bellway have acquired the plot at the former Hercules Business Park site on Lostock Lane and infrastructure is already underway.

Planning permission was granted for the site in March 2020.

Known as Hazel Fold, the development will feature a selection of new build homes, including one and two bedroom apartments as well as three and four bedroom semi-detached and detached homes.

Infrastructure has already started on site, with building of the homes due to commence imminently.

Bellway will officially launch the development in late February, releasing for sale the first few homes, followed by the opening of two show homes in the Summer.

Hollie Reynolds, sales director at Bellway, said: “We have an excellent reputation in Bolton for delivering well designed, high quality homes and we are thrilled to continue building in the area.

“Hazel Fold will be a welcome addition to Lostock and with a great range of stylish properties planned, the development will appeal to buyers of all ages.

“With initial infrastructure works well underway, we are looking forward to starting construction of the new homes, introducing the Artisan range to Bolton buyers.”

Developers Bellway have also made significant financial contributions to the local area, including £200,000 towards education.

The properties at Hazel Fold will be part of Bellway's recently launched Artisan collection and incorporate luxury design features.

Originally plans were approved to build 258 houses on the site, however Bellway have now confirmed that 214 new build homes will be developed at the side.

Bellway's Manchester division were behind the controversial Bowlands Hey Homes in Westhoughton known as The Vistas.
