A BRIDAL boutique has received recognition from entrepreneur and former 'dragon' from Dragon's Den Theo Paphitis.

Vintage Lane Bridal, based at the Last Drop Village in Bromley Cross, was personally selected by Theo on the social media platform Twitter to win one of the Small Business Sunday awards.

The boutique is run by Sybil Cundall and her daughter Lauren Manning.

It sells a variety of pre-loved vintage wedding gowns, offering a more unique and eco-friendly alternative for brides.

The pair were delighted to be chosen by Theo and there will be an awards event held later in the year.

Sybil said: "It's been a really tough year for us as we were closed for seven months throughout 2020.

"It was absolutely fabulous to receive this award, it just feels so good to receive something after such a difficult year.

"If it wasn't for our landlords we probably wouldn't still be here.

"We do have a website but obviously coming into the bridal shop with your friends is part of the experience, and weddings themselves have been hit badly by the pandemic."
