OFFICERS have seized a car from a provisional driver in Radcliffe after preventing a chase from breaking out.
A patrol from the GMP dogs division spotted the silver Ford Focus in Farnworth, before following the vehicle into Radcliffe.
Working alongside another patrol, officers were able to stop the driver before a chase broke out.
They discovered the car's insurance policy was taken out fraudulently, as the driver only held a provisional licence and was not permitted to be behind the wheel on his own.
Officers believe the car had been purchased by fraud, and seized the vehicle before reporting the driver for all offences.
