THE mother of a baby who died in Bolton one year ago has paid tribute to her daughter - and talked about the company she named in her honour.

Jessamy Tavimba Funeka Etinosa Muswere-Enagbonma, died in Manchester Children’s Hospital on Thursday, January 23 last year.

Police and paramedics had previously rushed to her home in Capitol Close in the Barrow Bridge area, on Sunday, January 19.

An inquest in June revealed the four-month-old baby had died from brain damage caused by a cardiac arrest while sleeping in a prone position on a sofa.

Now, her mother, Pauline, has revealed that she has been working hard on her fledgling care and employment business, named after her daughter, to give her something to concentrate on.

Jessamy Staffing Solutions is a specialist employment business, which supplies care homes, hospitals and other healthcare clients in the north with registered nurses, healthcare assistants, support workers, domestic staff and more.

The company say that they “look at every single detail” to ensure they perform to the highest calibre, from assisting with cleaning and cooking to working with dementia patients.

Pauline said: “It is still fresh and I have just tried to not cry as much. I needed a distraction really.

"My husband, Charles, had wanted to set up a care business for some time and after she died.

"I said that we should name it after her and that I would work on it.

“This business is our passion and although we couldn’t keep Jessamy, we can have this business and keep it for our kids to take over.

“I am driven by this company. Being at work knowing that I am building this in memory of what I have lost keeps me going.”

Pauline and Charles have six other children, who they hope will follow them into the business in the future.

The six older siblings that Jessamy had were boys Jeffrey, Jeremy, Jerome and Jezreel, along with girls Jenaya and Jemima.

Pauline added: “I don’t want them to all think that mum worries too much about Jessamy, so I have tried to balance my emotions.

“We are all hurt because of what happened.”
