Coronavirus infection rates are falling in all boroughs of Greater Manchester, except Bolton.

Bolton has seen it's infection rate rise slightly, according to the latest figures released by Public Health England, whereas the rest of the region has seen a significant fall in infections.

In the seven days to January 16 Bolton recorded 1114 new cases of coronavirus, equalling an infection rate of 387.4 per 100,000 residents.

The previous week, seven days leading to January 9, Bolton recorded 1101 cases meaning a rate of 382.9.

It is the only borough in Greater Manchester to have recorded an increased infection rate in this time.

Salford's rate dropped dramatically from 472.1 to 379 per 100,000 residents, with Bury following this trend, dropping from 468.6 to 395.3 in the seven days to January 16.
