A MAN has been charged after fuel was stolen from petrol stations in Bolton and a disturbance last week.
On Thursday, October 8, police received reports of a number of thefts of fuel from petrol stations in Crompton and Sharples to the total value of £130.50.
And three months later, on Thursday, 21 January, police were sent to a disturbance at an address on Westminster Road in Astley Bridge.
Christian Warburton, of Westminster Road, Astley Bridge, was subsequently charged with common assault, handling stolen goods and four counts of stealing fuel.
The 30-year-old has also been accused of driving with no insurance, driving without a licence and failing to stop at a red light.
He was due to appear at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court this afternoon.
