A SHORT slide show has shown how quickly one of the county’s roads became almost impassable as snow hit East Lancashire over the weekend.
The clip, uploaded to Blackburn with Darwen council’s roads and traffic page, shows Bull Hill in Darwen, a 40mph stretch of carriageway off the A666.
The video was uploaded on Sunday afternoon as shows how conditions on the road change throughout the day as snow fell across the county.
A spokesman said: “A little slideshow to show you the conditions and how quickly they changed this morning.
“It starts from 8:11am where you can see a clear and gritted road.”
As the time passes on, the road can be see going from clear and passable to covered in snow.
A weather warning remains in place today as freezing cold temperatures have led to severe ice on roads, paths and cycleways.
