Bolton recorded more than 120 fewer cases in the latest rolling seven day figures.

And infection rates across Greater Manchester are continuing to fall, with some boroughs close to having an infection rate of below 200.

All boroughs in the region have seen their rates fall steadily over the last couple of weeks, with all 10 boroughs now recording an infection rate below 300 per 100,000 residents.

Bolton recorded 784 positive coronavirus cases in the seven days to January 31, equalling an infection rate of 272.6 cases per 100,000 residents.

For comparison, in the seven days to January 24, Bolton recorded 906 positive cases at a rate of 315.1 per 100,000 people.

Bury and Trafford have seen a significant fall in cases in recent weeks, bringing their infection rates' down.

Bury recorded 439 positive cases of Covid-19 in the days to January 31 at a rate of 229.9 compared to a 558 cases at a rate of 292.2 per 100,000 residents in the seven days to January 24.

Trafford is recording the lowest rates at 216.1 per 100,000 residents with Manchester still the highest, at a rate of 291.6.
