A Bolton MP has hailed the number of laptops children have received to help with home schooling during the pandemic.
4,041 laptops have been given to students across Bolton, according to Bolton North East MP, Mark Logan, with over one million given out across the country.
Mr Logan said that ideally the government want children back in the classroom as soon as possible, however, helping children work from home at the moment was the best they could do.
He said: "No child should miss out as a result of the disruption caused by this pandemic. That is why it has been our priority to equip those children most in need with the resources they need to succeed.
"The 4,041 devices Bolton has received will ensure no child’s education is hindered, regardless of their background or circumstance.
"Whilst we all want our children back in the classroom as soon as possible, we are doing everything we can to support the high-quality education they deserve as they learn at home."
