BOLTON Kia is supporting its local youth group by providing it with a new set of wheels.

The firm has presented the Bolton Lads & Girls Club with a brand new seven-seat Kia Sorento, complete with bespoke graphics.

Bolton Kia is one of the charity’s Bronze Patrons.

The car will let the club carry out its essential work throughout the community.

Kelly McFadden, Head of Fundraising and Communications, said: “We have always been extremely grateful to Bolton Kia for supplying us with a vehicle that allows us every year to transport young people safely across the town, reach all areas of Bolton for our outreach and detached work, as well as break down barriers for any young people struggling to access our service.

“This time around the support from Kia means that little bit more than ever. The pandemic has resulted in a huge increase in poverty in Bolton, with Child Poverty currently at 34 per cent in the town.

"As a result, every day we are delivering over 100 hot lunches to our children, young people and families in need, as well as 200+ food and essential parcels a fortnight. Kia is really helping us with our mission to support our young people, our community and our town.”

Kevin Howard, Dealer Principal at Bolton Kia commented: “It’s a fantastic honour to be patrons to Bolton Lads & Girls Club. We believe it important to support our local community, especially during these turbulent times, and what better way than to encourage such a wonderful youth club.”

The youth club isn’t the only charity or organisation to have recently received support from Bolton Kia, with the dealership having providing Bolton Community First Responders (CFR) with a brand new Kia Sportage in October 2020.

Bolton Kia is still open for business, with new and used approved Kia cars available to order online. Visit kia.com/uk/dealers/bolton
